Outreach

Women of Purpose, Int'l is a seamless ministry reaching out locally, nationally and internationally, by connecting with others.  We come along side to offer our gifts and abilities where it is needed.

International Outreach – Women of Purpose, Int'l began its international outreach in 2000 with the      Children of Purpose School in Sierra Leone, followed by the Young People of Purpose Sewing Institute in Kenya. We provide support for children in Ethiopia through Project Mercy.

Women of Purpose Int'l also organizes International Mission Trips, taking funds, medicine and personal items to Kenya and Sierra Leone. Ghana is planned for 2011.

Young Women of Purpose, Int'l – Training young women in leadership skills and evangelism.  Presently located in Portland, Oregon and Columbus, Missouri.  In 2001 WOP Int'l began its outreach with the Children of Purpose School in Sierra Leone, followed by The Young People of Purpose Sewing Institute in Kenya.  The Children of Purpose school, in Kenya, opened in 2010.  Women of Purpose, Int'l also organizes International Mission trips, taking funds, medicine and personal items to those who need them.  Past visits include Sierra Leone, Kenya, Ghana and Ethiopia.  For more Mission Trips, "Love Missions," contact the National Office.

Houses of Refuge and Blessings /His Hands Extended Family Homes Network – WOP has established houses across the nation for women; a safe environment to grow in their Christian journey to become strong and providing a change of lifestyle and protection from past negative influences.  Currently there are homes established in Sherwood, Oregon and Memphis Tennessee.  In the planning stage: Central Florida and Columbia, Missouri.

Prayer Houses along the I-5 corridor – Women and men have opened their homes at designated days and times to come together and petition for the nations, leaders, president, salvation for the lost, families, communities, schools and youth.  Current locations are Washington, Oregon, California and Alaska.  We will list prayer requests on the web-site each month in your area.  We are seeking more participants for the National Prayer Circle that covers all fifty states.  Call, or write the National Office to sign up.

Connective Outreaches – WOP connects with other ministries with prayer and share resources for encouraging and reaching more souls for Christ, such as: The Father's Heart Ministry, Lodi, California, Pam Boggus - Founder, Director.

Extended Family Institute – Teaches families as models in solving organizational, communication and interpersonal problems.  Speaker and Author, Dr. O. Virginia Phillips, specializes in strengthening and stabilizing marriages and families.  Another specialty is focusing on adopted, blended, cross-racial families.  Dr. Phillips is available for speaking and teaching engagements.  Books and other resources are available.

Rose of Sharon – Connects with WOP financially to support Project Mercy Ministries in Ethiopia, sending school supplies and other needs for the children.  Sharon Wilson Wheeler, Founder, Director.

Glorious Prophetic International Ministries – Gloria Stidum is the Director of WOP, Int'l.  She mentors women to become ambassadors of Christ.

Heart to Heart Connection Ministries for Couples – Pastor Michael and Sanetta Hunter have been leaders of this ministry since 2005.  They have helped numerous couples in their outreach through counseling conferences and connecting with the National Marriage Initiative, along with WOP, Int'l.  Call or email the National office for Connective Ministries.
